Receiving and Accessing a File in Cocoon Data

Welcome to our tutorial on receiving and accessing files shared with you via Cocoon Data. This guide will take you through the process of setting up your account and viewing shared content. Let's get started!

Setting Up Your Account

Upon being added to Cocoon Data, you'll receive an email containing a one-time-use link and instructions for setting up your account. Click on the View Shared Content button to begin.

This link will direct you to a password setup page. Here, input a strong password and click Change to save it. You may also be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) during this stage.

Multi-Factor Authentication Setup

For MFA setup, download a one-time password MFA app on your phone. We recommend either Authy or Google Authenticator, but you can use the MFA app of your choice.

Next, you'll be prompted to specify the device type you're using for MFA setup. Choose your device type and click Select.

Open the MFA app on your device and scan the QR code to generate your MFA token. Input this token into the 'Authentication Code' field and click Pair to finalize your MFA setup.

Completing Your Account Setup

With your password and MFA set up, you'll be prompted to provide additional details about your account. Fill out this form to complete the account setup process.

After you've provided the required details, you should be able to view the documents that have been shared with you. If these aren't immediately visible, refresh your browser, and they should appear.

That wraps up our tutorial on receiving and accessing files in Cocoon Data. We hope you found this guide helpful as you build your regulated data workflows. Thank you for choosing Cocoon Data for your security needs. Have a great day!
